Messages & Messageboard
How to use the internal communication features on Kitchen CUT.
Kitchen CUT offers two internal communication tools to help keep your team connected and up to date:
-
Messages – Send direct, simple text-based emails to individual users or teams
-
Messageboard – Create formatted internal articles with images and attachments visible on login
These tools are ideal for everything from daily announcements and SOP updates to onboarding and internal training materials.
📩 Messages – Send Internal Emails to Users
The Messages function allows you to quickly send basic internal messages to users’ contact email addresses directly from Kitchen CUT.
To send a message:
-
Go to:
Team > Messages
2. Click + Add New
From here you can:
-
Select individual users or user groups
-
Target by specific outlets
-
Write a subject line and message content
-
Attach supporting files (e.g. updated menus, SOPs, handbooks)
These messages are delivered directly to the selected users' email inboxes.
📎 Useful for reminders, file sharing, or quick updates.
📌 Messageboard – Share Articles With Your Teams
The Messageboard allows you to create enhanced internal articles that users see when logging into the system. These can include:
-
🍸 Drinks bibles
-
⚠️ COSHH documentation
-
👋 Onboarding guidance
-
🧾 Policy updates or service notes
Unlike Messages, the Messageboard supports formatting, images, and file attachments — making it ideal for longer or recurring communications.
To create a Messageboard post:
-
Go to:
Team > Messageboard
You’ll be able to:
-
Add a title and fully formatted article content
-
Attach images or PDFs/Word/Excel files
-
Set visibility by outlet or user group
These articles will appear on the user's dashboard when they log into Kitchen CUT during the date range specified.
💡 Best Practices
