Why can't I edit certain items?

This guide explains why you may be unable to edit certain products, recipes or other records in your Kitchen Cut account



If you're unable to see the Edit option under the Actions dropdown on a particular recipe, this is likely to be due to location level you are logged in at. 

Depending on your Kitchen Cut account and user configuration, you may have access to multiple login locations. You can navigate between these by clicking in the top-right corner. Between the Support and Logout buttons there will be a dropdown button. This may be your Company Name, or something like 'Head Office', or 'HQ', or the name of a particular location grouping or brand within your company.


When you click on this you will see a dropdown showing the locations and outlets in your account. Depending on your user access permissions you may be able to click on the other locations to navigate between them.

When you click on a different location, provided you have the necessary access permissions, you will note the URL changes.

You will note under each recipe name it shows the location where the recipe was originally created. You will need to move to the corresponding location in order to be able to edit the recipe. When logged in at the correct location you will see the 'Edit' option on the Actions dropdown. Many records in Kitchen Cut can only be edited from the location where they were first created.
