How to update pricing for your clients through the gateway

This article will run through the process of updating product pricing for a client through the gateway.

If you have product pricing that needs updating on your clients’ portals, you can use the gateway to send this information through quickly and effectively. Follow the simple how to guide below that takes you through step by step of the process.

  • First you will need to log into your gateway and select ‘catalogue’ from the left-hand navigation, then select ‘Imports’ 

  • Next, you’ll need to press ‘Product Import’ to browse and select the pricing file you’re looking to import and press ‘upload’

  • Select the correct preset and click ‘next’

  • Now check the mapping matches correctly
  • Once confirmed move to the ‘Custom Prices’ tab
    • Select the client you are making the update for
    • In the drop down next to ‘Product Price’ ensure that ‘product Default Price’ is selected from the drop down 

  • Next check the allergen and nutrition tabs are mapped correctly and matching
  • Once happy click ‘Next’
  • Click ‘Next’ again
  • Then click ‘Import’
  • Scroll through the products to check that everything is successful and once happy click ‘Import’

  • On the right-hand side, click on the ‘Actions’ dropdown and select ‘Send to Customer’

  • Fill out the name of the file
    • Please note this is the file name the customer will see
  • Select the customer you are sending the pricing file to
  • Next click ‘Create New Price List’
    • You will see a warning saying ‘Warning individual prices included’
    • This is where the price currently on the system is different to the price in the file you are uploading
    • If you click on the warning, the product will drop down and you can check to make sure that it matches the price you are importing
    • Check a couple of these just to make sure they match 

  • Once happy click ‘Send to customer’ and agree to the disclaimer
  • Next click ‘send’
  • The screen will then load showing that you have sent the updated price file over to the customer ready for them to accept
