How to convert stock ingredients to Subrecipes or Recipes

This is a guide for how to use the 'Create Recipe from Ingredients' tool to record recipe preparations by converting raw ingredients in your stock to complete recipes.

If you prepare a batch of something, you are converting it from Products (raw ingredients) to a Subrecipe or Recipe (the completed batch). You can record this in Kitchen Cut in your OIC:

In Inventory > Stocks > Outlet Inventory Count, select Actions > View on your Opened OIC.

On the following screen you will then see the option near the top of the page to 'Create recipe from ingredients'. You can search for the subrecipe or recipe from your system that you wish to create, select the item and then choose quantity to be made, then select 'Create Recipe'.

The system will then assess whether you have the required ingredients based on the recipe and show you the result with the below screen. If you have the ingredients in stock then you can create. If you don't then the system will prevent you from going any further. Screenshot 2022-11-14 at 17.39.00

When you select 'Create' the system will convert products to subrecipe/recipe as appropriate based on the recipe quantities. You'll get the message 'Recipe has been created' if successful.

You will then be able to see the conversion that has happened in the records below (in the View OIC screen). In this case we can see that the ingredients have been depleted, and the Subrecipe holding has increased:
