If you are unable to find a specific product to create your recipes, you can quickly and simply add products to the system, here’s how....
How to add a single product to the system:
A product can be added to the existing supplier list by following these steps:

Click on “Create Product” on Dashboard
OR
- Click on “Suppliers" > "Products" > "Add New"
You will be taken to the below form:
You will need to fill in the following fields:

Product name
-
Code – here you can just put in any code/number (needs to be more than 3
digits long)

Supplier - if you start to type in ‘YCO’ it will drop down to show the supplier
name of ‘YCO Additional product’, please click on this supplier name

Select a category – click on drop down and choose which category the product should go into e.g. bakery, fruit & veg, fish, meat etc ( or leave as default)

Item Class: click ‘Food class’

Price – please enter in an approximate price for the product. The system is in $USD
so try and pick something suitable for the unit size below.

Total UOM/Select a unit - choose the weight/volume measurement that you are buying the product in (kg, g, litre, ml etc)
NB: try to always use weight/volume measurements here
The following fields do not need to be populated:
-Consumer name - Ignore this
-Internal supplier - Ignore this
-Total units – Ignore this
-Ave. Weight- Ignore this
-Pack Size – Ignore this
-Split Pack- Ignore this
-Pack size Info- Ignore this
-Net weight – Ignore this
-Expiration date - Ignore this
-Tax class – Ignore this
-Note – Ignore this
Then click ‘create’ at the bottom right side of the page.
Once complete it should look like the example below:
Allergens
You can add allergens to the products.
When editing a product, click on Allergens at the top of the page, then click to tick the relevant allergens:
*Ensure your select Create or Update at the bottom of the page after creating a new product*
Please note: once you click 'Create', it may take 5 minutes for the product to appear and be available to use in your recipes - so please wait.
You can check by searching for the product:
Once the product shows here, you can add the product into recipes.
