Market Lists

Market Lists allow you to create lists of commonly or regularly ordered products to suit a variety of scenarios and needs.

They differ from Production Lists, which are built from menus, recipes, and sub-recipes. Market Lists are built directly from products.

You can find Market Lists and Market List Templates by going to:
Orders > Lists > Market Lists / Market List Templates


Creating a Market List

  1. Navigate to the Market Lists tab and click Add New.Screenshot 2025-08-11 at 10.32.27

  2. Enter a name for the list.

  3. Assign one or more Revenue Outlets this list will be available for.

  4. Assign an Inventory Class.Screenshot 2025-08-11 at 10.35.44

  6. Enter the ordered quantity for each product and, if required, add internal notes per product.Screenshot 2025-08-11 at 10.40.18

  7. Once all products have been added, click Create to finalise the list.


Using Market Lists

Once created, Market Lists can be used in several ways:

  • Prepopulate a Purchase Order
    When raising a purchase order, select the relevant list using the Market List search bar on the order screen.Screenshot 2025-08-11 at 10.42.48

  • Create Purchase Order
    You can create a purchase order from one or several Market Lists in the Market List Tab. Simply select the lists you wish to use using the checkboxes on the left hand side and, using the 'Do with Selected'  drop down, select 'Create Purchase Order'.
  • Create Area Stocktakes
    From the Actions dropdown, select Create Stocktake.

  • Set Up Repeat Orders
    From the Actions dropdown, select Repeat Order.

💡 Best Practices

  • Keep your list names clear and specific to their use (e.g. Weekly Veg Order – Outlet 1).

  • Review and update lists regularly to ensure accuracy.

  • Use Market List Templates for quick setup across multiple outlets.


❓ FAQs

Q: Can Market Lists be built from recipes or sub-recipes?
A: No — Market Lists are built from products only. If you want to build a list from recipes, sub-recipes, or menus, use a Production List instead.

Q: Can I assign a Market List to more than one Revenue Outlet?
A: Yes — you can select multiple outlets during creation.

Q: Can Market Lists be edited after creation?
A: Yes — you can edit products, quantities, and notes as required.

Q: Can I add products from multiple suppliers to my Market List?

A: Yes - products from different suppliers will be split out into separate purchase orders upon ordering.
